Happy Friday, Oak Knoll Families!

I hope everyone has had a great week!  We have continued to work hard and are doing our best to learn new things!
 

SPIRIT WEEK

Spirit Week is coming September 28 - October 2!

Monday: Pajama Day - wear your favorite PJs
Tuesday: Tacky Tuesday - wear mismatched patterns and clothes
Wednesday: Walk-a-Thon Wednesday - wear Oak Knoll spirit wear
Thursday: Pink Day - wear the color pink
Friday: Football Friday - wear your favorite team jersey or colors

OAK KNOLL INFORMATION

PHYSICALS DUE BY OCT. 15

As a reminder for all parents, all physicals and immunization records are due to the health office by October 15th.  If we do not have a copy of your child's physical and immunization records on file, or a confirmed medical appointment, your child will be EXCLUDED FROM SCHOOL on October 15th until we receive the appropriate documentation.  This is a state law, not a Cary 26 expectation.  

PICTURE DAY

Picture Day is coming!  More information will follow from Color Portraits, but be sure to mark your calendars for October 5th!  

*If your child is absent or you do not like their photo, we will have a retake day on November 11th.

OCTOBER 30 EARLY RELEASE

Our next early release day is Friday, October 30th.  

Kindergarten car riders/walkers will be released starting at 11:50, with bus riders shortly after.

Preschool arrival begins at 8:45 and dismissal will begin at 11:20.

**Different preschool classes will attend on each half day so that everyone has as
much of an opportunity to come to school as possible.

DISTRICT INFORMATION

FREE VACCINATION CLINIC

You are invited to a FREE vaccination clinic on Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. at Three Oaks Elementary School.  The clinic is open to all families, with no out-of-pocket cost, regardless of insurance status.  Walk-ins are welcome, and pre-registration is encouraged to help reduce wait times.  Parent or guardian consent is required for children under 18.  We hope you'll take advantage of this convenient opportunity!  Please see this flyer for more information and a QR code to pre-register!

WALK-A-THON

The Oak Knoll PTO Walkathon is coming up on Wednesday, 
September 30! 

This fun event will take place during the school day, with each class having an opportunity to get outside, walk together, and support our school. In the event of inclement weather, our rain date is October 14.

Students are encouraged to ask family and friends to support them with a donation. As they raise money, students can earn some fun prizes! Prizes are cumulative, meaning students will receive each prize level they reach. Our top four student fundraisers overall will also receive our Grand Prize!

We also have some friendly classroom competition planned. Each week, the top fundraising Pre-K class and top fundraising Kindergarten class will earn a special classroom prize. At the end of the fundraiser, the top Pre-K classroom and top Kindergarten classroom overall will each receive an ice cream social!

We need parent volunteers to help make Walkathon day a success! Volunteers will assist during the school day as our students walk with their classes.  Please use this link to sign up.

Save the date for our September Owls Dine Out! 🦉🍽️

Join us on Wednesday, September 30 from 4–8 PM at Noodles & Company in Crystal Lake for an easy dinner out while supporting Oak Knoll! 20% of sales during the event will go back to the Oak Knoll ECC PTO.
