ISBE that the D26 Preschool for All (PFA) program achieved the “Gold Circle of Quality” in ExceleRate Illinois, which is the state’s quality recognition and improvement system for early learning programs. Ratings are based on standards that focus on early learning and development and places a high priority on instructional excellence, family services, staff qualifications, professional development and program administration. The District 26 PFA program is a five day per week, half-day At-Risk bilingual preschool program for 3-5 year olds. Congratulations to teacher, Martha Neal, who has successfully led this program as the teacher for several years as well as principal Lisa Baker for her work writing, managing and supporting the grant and the program staff.

During this year’s fall Scholastic Book Fair, the Deer Path PTO demonstrated extraordinary generosity by ensuring that every student who wanted a book received one, regardless of their ability to pay.
