Who We Are

Who we are

Welcome to Oak Knoll Early Childhood Center!  My name is Mrs. Lisa Baker and I am the principal.  Oak Knoll Early Childhood Center opened in August 2018.  We are continuing a rich tradition as Oak Knoll Elementary was built in 1957 and served kindergarten through sixth grades for most of its history.

Oak Knoll provides all of our Early Childhood programming for students aged 3-5 years old.  Our Early Childhood Education (ECE) classes are for children that are eligible for special education services due to a disability and have Individualized Education Plans (IEP).  Blended Preschool classes are for children with IEP's and for community students that are attending for their Preschool experience.  The ARISE preschool is an at-risk preschool program for 3-5 year-olds.  We also have a section of Preschool for All (PFA) which is a grant-funded classroom serving at-risk students-much like our district-funded ARISE program.  In addition, Oak Knoll also houses the Outpatient Speech program for 3-5 year-olds and is the location for preschool screenings.

All Kindergarten classes are located at Oak Knoll with the exception of the Dual Language Kindergarten classrooms.  These classrooms can be found at Three Oaks Elementary, the location of the district's Dual Language Program.

We have an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and invite you to learn about the many wonderful opportunities and ways for you to be actively involved in supporting our students and staff!  Monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm.  We will be looking for parent volunteers to help out in a lot of different ways throughout the year.  Be sure to check out the PTO tab on the website for more information.

Our mascot is the Owl and our school colors are red and gray.

The staff at Oak Knoll Early Childhood Center is committed to providing your child with a safe, nurturing, and dynamic learning environment to foster growth and development in all areas.  We look forward to meeting you and your child to begin our time together.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
